The West Indies managed to hold their nerve to claim a victory against South Africa ‘A’ in the first unofficial Test in Benoni.

A valiant effort with the ball from SA was in vain, as they got the Windies down 119-7 and then 171-9, but failed to take out the tail.

Kevin Sinclair was the hero for his side with a 150-ball 80, sticking around till the end to see his team over the line. The rest of the West Indies batters were just cameo contributors.

Mihlali Mpongwana was the best bowler on the day for SA with 3-25 in 14 overs.

The SA A team lost by 1 wicket with two matches still to go in the series.
