Rubin Hermann scored the first century of the CSA T20 Challenge to set up North West Dragon’s first win of the tournament on Friday.

North West Dragons vs KZN Tuskers 

The 27-year-old inspired a dominant batting performance for NW against the Tuskers, scoring 207/4 in their 20 overs. 

His 102 came off 54 balls including 11 fours and 3 sixes. 

His 142-run partnership with Meeka-eel Prince (58 off 34 balls, 5 fours, 3 sixes) set the foundation for the Dragons. 

Hermann’s brilliance, which came after his 90 against WP in the previous match, took NW to 173. 

The rest of the batters combined with small cameos to take the side to the highest total of the tournament so far. 

The Tuskers crumbled again. They were bowled out for 82. Senuran Muthusamy took the most wickets with his 3-16. 

NW claimed a bonus-point win by 125 runs.

Lions vs Titans

The Lions managed to score a defendable 183/5 after being 54/4. 

Wiaan Mulder top scored with 48 off 32 balls. 

Cameos at the backend from Mitchell van Buuren (37 off 27) and Delano Potgieter (32 off 15) took the Lions to their total. 

The Titans put in a valiant chase. Rivaldo Moonsamy top scored for his side with an 88 off 52 balls (6 fours, 6 sixes).

It wasn’t enough as the Titans fell one run short of the Lions’ total, losing their second match on the bounce.

Rocks vs Dolphins 

It was a low-scoring affair in Paarl. 

The Rocks scored 125/8. 

Prenelan Subrayen, Ottniel Baartman, Okuhle Cele and Daryn Dupavillion all contributed with 2 wickets. 

Michael Copeland showed resistance with his 35 off 30 balls, but it was not enough to take the home side to a winning total. 

The Dolphins chased down their target in 14.3 overs. 

Grant Roelofsen top scored with 71 off 45 (8 fours, 2 sixes).

The only wicket to fall was Bryce Parsons who contributed with 47 off 36 balls (5 fours and 1 six). 

The Dolphins completed their second win of the tournament with a dominant 9-wicket win.
