Marco Jansen starred with a blistering 27-ball 66 as Sunrisers Eastern Cape do a double and register back-to-back wins over current table toppers MICT.

Sunrisers were sort of dead and buried, well so we thought as half their side were back in the dugout for 91-5 with all of their specialist batters not contributing much but the player of the match – Jansen had other plans as he stepped up massively to get his side over the line at Newlands.

With 5 overs to go, MICT had this game in the bag but then Marco struck 4 sixes and 1 four in the 15th over against MICT’s skipper which went for 28 runs and swung the game completely in the visitors’ favour.

MICT once again got off to a wobbly start losing Brevis early but Grant Roelofsen who scored a 33-ball half-century was supported well by Ryan Rickelton in a 102-run partnership.

Then a mini-collapse as Aiden Markram and Roelof van der Merwe picked up vital wickets during the latter stages to peg their innings back just as they could’ve teed off.

Delano Potgieter hit some lusty blows at the end to get the cape side to a decent 171-6.
