Fairtree, a global investment company with offices in South Africa, Europe and the UK, is proud to announce its partnership with the Royal Dutch Cricket Federation (“KNCB”) as lead sponsor of the Netherlands National Men’s Cricket Team for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 (“T20 World Cup”) and the ODI Tour to South Africa in November 2021.

Fairtree and the KNCB’s partnership will directly support the development of cricket in the Netherlands whilst increasing Fairtree’s visibility in the markets in which it operates.

Speaking about the partnership, Fairtree CEO Kobus Nel remarked how the game of cricket “connects people from all backgrounds and is a fantastic sport for all to enjoy while getting involved in some way or form.”

“At the heart of everything we do at Fairtree, is our purpose to enrich the lives of everyone through their dealings with us,” says Nel. “Our mission is to empower all stakeholders to live their individual or collective callings and we will work hard to ensure this is the case with our KNCB partnership.”

This is not the first time Fairtree has been involved in growing the game of cricket. Fairtree has been actively involved with the development of school cricket at grassroots levels in South Africa for many years, which expanded with its partnership with Gary Kirsten Cricket (“GKC”), a world-leading cricket academy, in 2018.

“Similar to South Africa, diversity is critical to developing the game of cricket in the Netherlands in order to grow an inclusive sporting environment where everyone can feel valued and contribute to the best of their abilities,” continues Nel. “This is very much aligned with our values and we are extremely honoured to partner with the KNCB in this way and look forward to supporting the team at the T20 World Cup and the ODI Tour of South Africa.”

“Fairtree and Kobus Nel are known for having real passion for cricket,” adds KNCB CEO, Milena van Not. “It is great to see that apart from commercial interests, the development of cricket in The Netherlands and diversity play an important part in starting this partnership. It should be clear that besides being a valued shirt sponsor, Fairtree is also a partner which we are proud of, and a partner that we will be able to develop the future of cricket in The Netherlands with.”
