We take a look at the top bowlers at the conclusion of the group stage of the CSA Provincial T20 Cup.

Alfred Mothoa (Limpopo)

The Limpopo fast bowler finished the group stage as the leading wicket-taker of the tournament. He grabbed 9 wickets at an amazing average of 11. His crucial 3 wickets in their first match of the tournament led his side to a 7-wicket victory against Mpumalanga. His best figures of the tournament (4/23 in 3.5 overs) came against a strong Border side.

Jason Niemand (Eastern Province)

The 20-year-old spinning all-rounder managed to pick up 8 wickets for Border. Niemand carried the good start to his T20 career by picking up career-best figures of 3/29 achieved against North West during this tournament.

Khwezi Gumede (Easterns)

Having made his T20 debut in this tournament, Gumede finished the group stage with 8 wickets at an average of 15.37. His best figures of 4/35 were against a star-studded Gauteng team.

Special mentions

Kyle Nippier (KZN Inland), Daryn Dupavillon (KZN Inland), Basheer Walters (Eastern Province) and Justin Watson all finished with 7 wickets apiece. It will be interesting to see who will finish top wicket-taker of the tournament as only Mothoa (in this list) will not be part of the semi-finals.
