South Africa beat Zimbabwe by an innings and 236 runs in the 2nd Test to complete a 2-0 series win.
At the start of play, Zimbabwe were 51-1 in their second innings, trailing by 405.
Zimbabwe were composed early on, but that lasted just 30 mins, Senuran Muthusamy’s introduction saw Takudzwanashe Kaitano chip to cover after reaching 40. Zimbabwe were 64-2.
Zimbabwe got over the 100-run mark, but Proteas captain Wiaan Mulder knocked over Sean Williams’ off stump for 11. ZIM were now 103-3.
Nicholas Welch brought up a measured 104-ball half-century, a solid partnership starting to grow between him and his captain Craig Ervine.
They went into lunch on 143-3.
After lunch, Zimbabwe went past the 150-run mark, but Muthusamy took his second, Welch edging to slip after a well-measured 55.
Codi Yusuf worked hard to find a wicket, and he finally got one in his 13th over dismissing Wessly Madhevere lbw. ZIM were now 166-5.
Yusuf struck again in his 16th over, dismissing Tsiga who popped the ball straight mid-wicket. ZIM were now 177-6.
Ervine batted superbly, but only got South Africa to 182, when Bosch got two wickets in the 65th over. He nicked off Ervine to the keeper, and sent Kundai Matigimu’s off stump flying. ZIM were now 183-8.
Bosch made it 184-9 when he forced Blessing Muzarabani to edge to third slip.
Muthusamy wrapped things up with the wicket of Tanaka Chivanga.
South Africa won by an innings and 236 runs.
Bosch finished with 4-38, Muthusamy with 3-77, Yusuf with 2-38 and Mulder with 1-24.
