Proteas wicketkeeper-batter, Quinton de Kock, has been ruled out of the first Betway OneDay International (ODI) against Bangladesh.

He is undergoing a graduated return to play program following a recent illness and his progress is being monitored by the medical team. A decision on his fitness to play will be made before the second match.

In other team news, Ryan Rickelton has been included in the ODI team as a replacement for Zubayr
Hamza, who unfortunately had to withdraw from the tour due to personal reasons.
