Day two of the first unofficial Test against India A ended with the hosts once again in control, after they scored 303 and reduced SA A to 125-5.

The Proteas seamers were supported well by Dane Piedt (3-84) to bowl India out for 303 with Lungi Ngidi (3-50), Lutho Sipamla (2-46) and Marco Jansen (2-59) taking a bulk of the wickets.

SA A came in to bat and similarly to the first inning struggled to get themselves off the ground when they lost both Aiden Markram (4) and Pieter Malan (4) early – Shardul Thakur and Mohammed Siraj doing the damage to remove the openers.

Shahbaz Nadeem (2-13) then dismissed both Khaya Zondo (10) and Senuran Muthusamy (4).

Zubayr Hamza scored 44 off 81 balls, but he once again was dismissed by Krishnappa Gowtha which left the visitors reeling on 94-5.

SA A ended day two on 125-5 with Heinrich Klaasen on 35 and Wiaan Mulder on 12.
