It was a competitive 4-Day Series campaign that saw players from various provinces raise their hands. The fierce competition culminated in a close finish, which saw teams competing till the end for a place in the final.
The final round of the competition played out as a semi-final. The Lions vs the Titans and the Dolphins vs Western Province. In the end, it was the Lions and Western Province that battled it out in a 5-Day match at the Wanderers stadium.
The match was a thrilling one, which saw both teams exchange the advantage throughout the contest and in the end, it was the Lions who emerged victorious by 99 runs.
