The Dolphins have been crowned 4-Day Series Champions for the 2022/23 season.

They fell short by 3 wickets in their final clash against the Lions but with 4-successive wins in the second half of the tournament saw them claim the silverware.

Marques Ackerman, Sarel Erwee, Eathan Bosch and Keegan Petersen scored half-centuries as the Dolphins posted 329 in the first innings and Lutho Sipamla claimed a 5-wicket haul. The Lions in reply were bowled out for 259 to give the Dolphins a handy 70-run lead.

Malusi Siboto (54*) and Joshua Richards top scored with 47. Jones picked up 5-46 as the Dolphins scored 222 in their second innings. Khaya Zondo and Jason Smith reached fifties to set Lions 292 for victory.

Kagiso Rapulana led the way in the run-chase with his 88 as the lower order contributed to dragging their side over the line for a 3-wicket victory.

In Cape Town, Jordan Hermann played some scintillating shots in his 81-run innings to get the Warriors off to a brilliant start with Diego Rossier, Matthew Breetzke and Rudi Second all contributing to a total of 352.

Western Province in reply could only muster 198. Linde and Hamza scored half-centuries and Eddie Moore contributed with 30. Siya Plaatjie picked up 5-19 as he ran through the lineup.

The Warriors had a more than decent lead of 154 and got bowled out for 184, the top order got starts but couldn’t carry on and a stubborn defiant knock of 38 runs by Glenton Stuurman edged the Warriors to a commanding lead of 338.

Western Province with just about 5 sessions left required 339 for victory to end their season of hopes on a good note. They got off to a good start as Moore got a start and Hamza once again scored a half-century.

Kyle Verreynne who top scored with 86 had Linde with him at the crease on the final day, but once they fell, the wickets kept tumbling and they succumbed to 259 all out. The Warriors left the Cape victorious by 79 runs.

A sorry-looking scorecard in the first innings for North West Dragons as they were skittled for 149. Brand, Mongumusa, and Brevis all scored half-centuries and an aggressive 40 by Gqamane saw the Titans post 319 in their first inning to lead by 171.

King, who top-scored with 38 in the first innings for the Dragons, scored 92. Senuran Muthusamy, who picked up 6 wickets earlier, scored 62 and a couple of crucial 30s by James and Duan Jansen steered them to 360 to set the Titans a mere 189 for victory. Neil Brand (95) and Jiveshan Pillay (46) chased it down with ease to grant them a 9-wicket win.

Over at Boland Park, Audrey Swanepoel claimed a five-for to bowl the Rocks out for 219. Michael Copeland scored 59 and Peter Malan and Shaun von Berg chipped in with 30s.

Matthew Kleinveldt was left stranded on 199 as the Knights got bowled out for 493 to give them a hefty 274-run lead.

Gihahn Cloete contributed with a century. Shaun von Berg claimed a 5-wicket haul. Pieter Malan (86) and Clyde Fortuin (139) top scored as Maqunqu picked up 6 for 82 to help the Rocks post 319 in their second innings and set the Knights 45 runs to win as they did comfortably by 9 wickets.
