Sune Luus scored a match-winning 37 off 21 balls as she took Velocity to a 5-wicket win in the Women’s IPL T20 Challenge.

Sune Luus came to the crease when the team was in a bit of disarray losing wickets at crucial points. She shared in a 5th wicket partnership worth 51 runs with Susha Verma who supported her well to get them in a strong position to finish off the game.

Luus’ exciting unbeaten 37 off 21 including 4 fours and 1 six which was a flawless knock. She looked at ease.

Needing 9 runs from the final over, she swept Siriwardene to the boundary and then off the second last ball she edged it to the keeper but it just raced away to the boundary and that was the victory by five wickets.

The other South African that was in action today was Ayabonga Khaka for the opposition. She picked up two key wickets of the dangerous Dani Wyatt and Shafali Verma finishing with figures of 2/27 in four overs including a wicket maiden.
