India look to wrap things up and go 2-0 up in the series in the final session of the 2nd Test against the Proteas , writes Ongama Gcwabe.

Continuing on 74/4 in the second session, the Proteas were looking to build a partnership between Temba Bavuma and Quinton de Kock.

The stage was set for Bavuma and De Kock to show a bit of fight against the Indians.

Throughout the series we have seen questionable shot selections from the Proteas top-order batters, and it was not different during the second session on day 4 of the 2nd Test in Pune.

An attempted slog-sweep from De Kock saw him get bowled by Ravindra Jadeja while Bavuma edged one to Ajinkya Rahane at first slip off the bowling of Jadeja.

Mohammed Shami found the edge off Senuran Muthusamy’s bat which carried to Rohit Sharma at third slip.

Vernon Philander and Keshav Maharaj will continue in the final session of the day with South Africa in all sorts of trouble on 172/7 at the tea break.
