Kagiso Rabada delivered a powerful bowling performance to boost the Punjab Kings’ chances of making the IPL playoffs.

In the IPL fixture between the Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans, the Titans, in a shift away from the trend of bowling first, chose to bat first.

The decision to bat first backfired, as they posted only 143/8 in 20 overs, thanks to Kagiso Rabada’s  man-of-the-match performance for the Punjab Kings.

In his quota of four overs, Rabada picked four wickets, and conceded 33 runs. Rabada picked the key wickets of Wriddhiman Saha and Rahul Tewatia, who have been among the Titans’ most successful batters this season.

Additionally, Rabada dismissed Rashid Khan and Lockie Ferguson towards the end of the innings.

Rabada found his rhythm at a crucial time for the Punjab Kings, who desperately need to string together a few wins to keep their chances of qualifying for the playoffs alive.
