21-year-old Tristan Stubbs impressed yet again with a knock of 80 not-out and almost led the Warriors to a record win at St. George’s Park Cricket Stadium in the CSA T20 challenge.
The Warriors were set a target of 212 runs as the in-form David Miller and Grant Roelofsen put on a show and scored the first 200-plus score of the tournament this season.

After the Warriors lost Wihan Lubbe, Matthew Breetzke and Lesiba Ngoepe early, in came an exciting youngster with the team in trouble at 31-3.
Stubbs got stuck in and built a 50-run-partnership with veteran Jon-Jon Smuts before Smuts lost his wicket on 47.
The wickets kept falling on the other end but the youngster remained unshaken and scored a 31-ball 80 runs and led the Warriors to a second-highest total of the competition so far 191-6.
At a strike-rate of 258, Stubbs smacked eight sixes and three fours as Warriors fell short by 20 runs.
