The Proteas batted well in their 20 overs, mainly thanks to half-centuries from Heinrich Klaasen and Aiden Markram.

The target for Pakistan was 189, a decent total on a ground a little slower than a traditional Wanderers pitch.

The Proteas bowlers let the game slip away from them towards the end. They had Pakistan 132/5 after 15.2 overs, but the visitors pulled it back excellently to take it to 11 off the last over.

Beuran Hendricks took 3/32 in his four overs, but his last over saw him smashed for 16 runs, bowling four full tosses in the process.

Magala followed this up with an over that went for 11 taking the game to the death.

Despite Lizaad Williams taking a wicket in the final over, a dropped catch and an over throw that crashed into the stumps saw Pakistan get over the line.

The visitors won by 4 wickets.
