A masterful 61 off 42 from David Miller, the experienced Proteas left-hander, drove the Texas Super Kings to a strong 181/6 in their first home game against the LA Knight Riders.

Miller stitched together a 77-run 3rd-wicket partnership with NZ opener Devon Conway. He showed impressive range against pace and spin and laid the platform brilliantly for the late-order hitters to capitalize.

Gerald Coetzee chipped in with two early wickets, helping deal with some of the telling early damage that would deflate the visitors’ innings.

Among the US-based South Africans, Rusty Theron also took two wickets, including ex-Dolphins all-rounder Calvin Savage.
