Keegan Petersen (111), Rudi Second (55) and Kyle Verreynne (74) helped South Africa A secure a draw against England in Benoni. 

England batted first in the match and declared on 456/7. Joe Denly (103) and Ollie Pope (132) were key to their side’s total. 

Andile Phehlukwayo was South Africa’s best bowler finishing with 3/55. 

The hosts then went in to bat. They struggled to get going with their openers Pieter Malan and Reeza Hendricks reduced for 34 and 6 respectively. 

Petersen and Second then steadied the ship taking SA A to 167 before Second’s dismissal.

Verreynne then joined Petersen and they scored 118 runs before Verreynne was dismissed for 74. 

After Petersen’s wicket SA A ended the day on 325/5 as the match ended in a draw.
