According to IOL, Former Paarl Rocks head coach and Protea, JP Duminy, will be appointed as the batting coach of the Proteas.

The story was broken on IOL’s website by Zaahier Adams on Friday morning.

Duminy, who played 326 internationals across all formats for the Proteas, will be set to leave his role as the Rocks head coach which he has occupied for South Africa’s 2022-23 domestic season.

He was also appointed as Paarl Royals’ head coach for the inaugural SA20 competition, where they were knocked out by the Pretoria Capitals in the semi-finals.

The Rocks are currently sixth on the 4-Day Series charts, ended 5th on the One-Day Series charts and lost to the Dolphins in the semi-final of the CSA T20 Challenge 2022/23.
