Pakistan achieved a convincing 3-1 series win after shakily reaching the target of 145 after an eventful middle passage.

After the Pakistani bowlers inflicted a swift collapse from the Proteas, it was time to close it out with the bat.
It was not the ideal start after Bjorn Fortuin had the in-form Mohammad Rizwan stumped, but skipper Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman eased the pressure soon after. Babar played second fiddle, as Fakhar fearlessly played his shots to whittle down the required rate to well below 6 runs an over.
With 53 to get in the next 11 overs, it seemed like a pretty straightforward slam dunk, but a double-strike from Lizaad Williams to remove both the set batsmen just began to intensify the situation.
Runs began to dry up, and soon enough, the other bowlers were among the wickets, as Mohammed Hafeez, Haider Ali, Asif Ali, and Faheem Ashraf all fell for single-digit scores. Tabraiz Shamsi maintained the pressure with an excellent spell of 1/21 in his 4 overs.
However, the target was reachable despite the middle-overs struggle, and a cameo of 25* from Mohammed Nawaz with a four and a couple of maximums sealed the game for the visitors, who have also enjoyed a fruitful ODI series to boot.
