Easterns booked their place in the final as they beat Border by 9 wickets with 51 balls to spare in the second semi-final of the CSA Provincial T20 Cup.
Having won the toss and electing to bat first, Border managed to post a total of 130 runs for the loss of nine wickets.
Yaseen Vallie and Gihahn Cloete put-on an opening-partnership of 53 runs before the former was bowled by Armand Erasmus on 26 off 19 balls.
Cloete top-scored for Border with his knock of 30 at a run-a-ball. Dyllan Matthews and Erasmus picked up two wickets apiece and were well supported by Imran Manack who returned figures of 1-24 in his 4 overs.
Easterns started their run chase brilliantly. Wesley Marshall (40 off 19, 7 × 4, 1 × 6) and Yaseen Valli (29 off 25 balls, 4 × 4) also put on an opening partnership of 53 runs before the former was dismissed by Jason Niemand.
Jurie Snyman came in at No 3 and he dominated the Border bowlers.
Snyman’s knock (58 off 26, 2 × 4, 7 × 6, SR: 223.07), ensured that the Easterns won by nine wickets with 51 balls remaining.
