After winning the toss and electing to bat in the 3rd ODI, South Africa posted 346 in 50 overs thanks to centuries from Quinton de Kock and Janneman Malan.

Openers Quinton de Kock and Jaaneman Malan, both, scored centuries, notching a 225-run partnership. The last time two South African openers scored hundreds was in 2017 against Bangladesh, where Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla scored centuries.

De Kock was in imperious touch, as he scored his 16th ODI hundred. His 91-ball 120 included 11 boundaries and 4 sixes.

Jaaneman Malan was also in supreme form, scoring 177 in 169 balls (16 fours, 6 sixes). He batted through the innings superbly showing his importance to this Proteas side. His performance has sent a message to the selectors proving that he is the right man for the opening spot in the ODI side.

Rassie van der Dussen chipped in with a useful 30 off 28.

While all the Irish bowlers went for runs, the Proteas were particularly harsh on Mark Adair and George Dockrell.
