In light of the cancellation of England batter Laurie Evans’ contract due to a failed dope test, the Perth Scorchers have recruited former Proteas skipper Faf du Plessis for the front half of the Big Bash League.

While he hasn’t played for SA in two years, the 38-year-old right-hander has shown remarkable consistency across various T20 leagues. From captaining RCB in the IPL and the St. Lucia Kings in the CPL, he brings to the table a wealth of expertise and prowess to help the men in orange add to their 4 BBL trophies.

Seeing that the rest of the world values Faf du Plessis, we spoke about how he can help SA Cricket.
