Hollywoodbets Dolphins secured another CSA T20 Challenge final spot with a five-wicket victory over Dafabet Warriors at the Hollywoodbets Kingsmead on Thursday.

Dolphins opted for the ball first, when Andile Mogakane (77) powered the Warriors to respectable innings score of 161/4.

Warriors got off to a slow start when Jiveshan Pillay fell early to bring Mogakane to the crease. He put up a 78-run partnership with his skipper, Matthew Breetzke (38) and 53 runs with Jordan Hermann (20*) to propel the visitors to a competitive score.

In reply, the Dolphins’ Khaya Zondo (49) took charge during the powerplay, forging a solid 64-run opening stand with Grant Roelofsen (16).

Contributions from Jon Jon Smuts (34) and Jason Smith (30*) ensured the Dolphins chased down the target comfortably, reaching the required score with 12 balls to spare.

Dolphins will travel to Johannesburg to face the DP World Lions in the CSA T20 Challenge final at the Bullring on Sunday, 28 April 2024 with the match scheduled to commence at 14h00.
