Former Cobras captain Dane Piedt has left the Cape Town-based franchise after 10 years with the side.

The spinner took to Twitter on Thursday to announce his move.

Piedt has had an incredible career with the Cobras, where has taken 230 wickets for the franchise in first-class cricket, 34 wickets in List-A cricket and 16 in the T20 format.

He also has a first-class 100 under his belt for the Cobras and 8 half-centuries.

The 30-year-old has also represented the Proteas at a Test level, taking 26 wickets in 9 matches in whites.
