We wrap up the morning games on day three of the CSA Provincial T20 Cup.
KwaZulu-Natal Coastal vs Free State
Free State elected to field first and they reduced KZN to 146 runs for the loss of six wickets, thanks to the bowling efforts of J van Dyk (2-26 in 4 Overs), Duan Jansen (2-22 in 3 Over) and Romano Terblanche (1-13 in 3 Overs). KZN had Khalipha Cele who rescued his side from an early loss of wickets, he top-scored with 40 off 41 deliveries. Prenelan Subrayen (33 off 19) and 19 year-old Andile Mokgakane (32 off 20) provided some assistance with their knocks. In Reply, Free State scored exactly 146/6. Once again, Raynard van Tonder (43 off 38) and Shadley van Schalkwyk (38 off 28) made their presence felt in the run-chase. The match was tied (KZN won with a Super Over).
Boland vs South Western Districts
SWD welcomed a first win of the tournament as they breezed to a 37-run win over Boland. Having won the toss and electing to bat first, a 53-run opening stand between Neil Hornbuckle (35 off 30) and Yamkela Oliphant (29 off 25) ensure SWD finished on 137/5. Ferisco Adams continued his good form as he grabbed three wickets at an economy rate of 5.6. Melusi Vuba picked up 4-17 (4 overs) as SWD bowled Boland out for only 98 runs.
Mpumalanga vs Western Province
Western Province batted first and posted a competitive 165/7 in their 20 overs. Jason Smith found form as he scored 48 off 37 deliveries, Qaasim Adams provided some assistance as he chipped in with 21 off 24 deliveries. Sifiso Mahima picked the huge wicket of Kyle Verreynne ( 19 off 8 including four boundries). Mpumalanga managed to make 165/7 in their 20 overs. Justin Watson scored 49 off 24 deliveries, his knock included two 4’s and four 6’s. The match was tied (Westerns Province won with a Super Over).
