KZN Coastal was rewarded with their first win of the tournament in a rain-affected game, after another top knock from Chloe Tryon.

KZN Coastal vs Central Gauteng Lions:

Chloe Tryon scored her 3rd consecutive half-century of the tournament, scoring 91 runs off 81 balls, with eleven 4s and one 6. She now has 238 runs in just 3 games – that’s an average of 79.33 runs per game. Nadine Avril Moodley was the only other team member who got into double figures, scoring 63 runs off 74 balls, with ten 4s. Yolani Fourie was the stand-out bowler for the Central Gauteng Lions, picking up 3-24 in 10 overs.

KZN Coastal scored 190 all out in 44.2 overs. With the rain about, the Central Gauteng Lions had an adjusted target of 160 in 38 overs. Nonkululeko Mlaba was the pick of the bowlers for Coastal, picking up 5-17 in 8 overs (economy of 2.13). Tryon also picked up a wicket; fittingly, the last one of the match, to see her team to victory. The Central Gauteng Lions fell just short, getting bowled out for 151. KZN Coastal won by 9 runs D/L Method.
