Bryce Parsons and Ruan de Swardt shared a 200-run partnership as the Dolphins beat WP Blitz.

The restart of the 4-Day Series saw the Dolphins beat WP Blitz, the Dragons secure a vital draw against the Rocks and a rained-out game between the Knights and the Lions.

Dolphins vs WP Blitz

Kyle Simmonds is having a brilliant month. He replaced Aaron Phangiso in the latter stages of the inaugural SA20 and faired brilliantly ending with 6 wickets in just three matches.

He continued his excellent form and helped Province with a vital 47 in their first innings after Eddie Moore scored a half-century to get to a decent total of 210, before starring with a superb 6-42 with the ball.

In the third innings, Western Province reeled on 81 for 7 and his 64 from 88 balls guided them to 191 to set the Dolphins 273 to win.

The Dolphins were bowled out for 129 in their first innings and pretty much-played catch-up.

The spin twins bowled exceptionally well to get their team back in with a shout, as Keshav Maharaj picked up 9 wickets in the match. But it was Maharaj’s 7-75 in the third innings which set up the game.

There’s nothing sweeter than scoring runs in the fourth innings especially if it’s a big one, ask Bryce Parsons, who scored his maiden ton. A magnificent unbeaten 134 with support from Ruan de Swardt with 89 not out, guided the Dolphins to an eight-wicket victory in Durban.

North West vs Boland

At the JB Marks Oval, Delano Potgieter picked up 4 wickets for 47 runs to bowl the Rocks out for 234. Shaun von Berg top scored with 43 as the Rocks batters got starts but neither quite pushed on.

Shaylin Pillay scored 110 and Lesego Senokwane continued his consistency and scored 74 as NWD posted 269 in their first innings with a 35-run lead.

Janneman Malan top scored with 76 but Potgieter picked up 5-43 to bowl Rocks out for 200 to set North West Dragons 166 to win.

Once again, Lesego Senokwane scored 47* when rain interrupted the match as they required just 79 runs to get a deserved and much-needed win. The match ended in a draw.

Itec Knights vs DP Lions was abandoned without a ball bowled due to inclement weather.
