The ODI series against England has been cancelled and the focus is now on the Test series against Sri Lanka at the end of the year.
The Test side, like all of our sides, is in a rebuilding phase. We have some players whose positions are considered safe ie Dean Elgar, Rassie van der Dussen, Quinton de Kock, Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortje and Keshav Maharaj.
Some of the other positions can be considered up for grabs.
We have identified the No 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7 positions all have multiple candidates who are putting up their hand for selection.
