We wrap up day three of round four of the 4-Day Franchise Series fixtures.

Knights vs Titans.

A collective bowling effort from the home side saw the Titans skittled out for 211 in their first innings with Heinrich Klaasen 67 and Matthew Arnold 52 top scoring.

They were put back into bat as the Knights enforced the follow on with Titans 330 runs behind.

An opening 145-run stand between Bafana Mahlangu and Wesley Marshall who both notched up half centuries got the Titans off to a better start with the bat in their second innings.

At the close of play on day 3 they were 145/0 trailing by 185 runs.

Cobras vs Warriors.

The Cobras first innings came to an end on 379/10 with a 29-run lead. Matthew Kleinveldt fell just 8 runs short of another ton but scored a vital 92 in what was a consolidating phase with wickets tumbling on the other end. George Linde scored his first hundred for the Cobras and a much needed one for his side which kept cutting down the deficit with the help of Thando Ntini who scored a crucial 40 to give them a narrow lead. Glenton Stuurman registered a 5-wicket haul.

Dane Piedt picked up the wickets of both the openers to leave the Warriors on 32/2 with a 3 -run lead at the end of play on day 3.

De Klerk 4* and Vallie 1* will resume proceedings on Thursday.

Scorecard

Lions vs Dolphins.

Malusi Siboto stuck around and kept the scoreboard ticking scoring 43 off 96 balls in a 93-run stand with Rassie van der Dussen. The latter remained unbeaten on 154* with Migael Pretorius on 50* when the Lions declared their first innings on a massive 495/8 with a lead of 260. Keith Dudgeon picked up 4/115.

Once again Migael Pretorius and Dwaine Pretorius picked up early wickets to leave Dolphins in trouble but Marques Ackerman and Sibonelo Makhanya were recovering well until the former got run out for 62.

The Dolphins reached stumps on 173/5 trailing by 87 runs. Makhanya will resume on 75* alongside Andile Phehlukwayo 4*.
