South Africa were comfortably beaten by 8 wickets against New Zealand in the third T20I at Eden Park in Auckland on Friday.
The Proteas battled to make an impact with the bat, posting a below-par 136/9 in their 20 overs
There was little resistance from the top and middle order, which found them reeling on 68-6 after 11.1 overs.
Late runs from Nqobani Mokoena provided some respectability to the total. The tail-ender finished unbeaten on 26 off 20 balls (1 four, 3 sixes), while George Linde chipped in with 23 off 19 (2 fours, 1 six).
New Zealand’s bowlers kept things tight throughout, with Mitchell Santner (2/21) and Ben Sears (2/27) leading the charge.
The hosts chased down the target with ease.
Devon Conway and Tom Latham scored 96 in 11 overs, before Conway was dismissed for 39 off 26 balls by Keshav Maharaj.
Latham took his side over the line, scoring his first half-century against South Africa. He finished on 63 off 55 balls (7 fours, 2 sixes).
South Africa lost by 8 wickets.
New Zealand go 2-1 up in the 5-match series.
