All-rounder Delmari Tucker starred with bat and ball as World Sports Betting Western Province Women secured a commanding eight-wicket win over DP World Lions Women in the Hollywoodbets Pro50 final in Durban on Sunday.

Province’s bowlers set the tone, dismissing the Lions for just 99 in 29.3 overs. Tucker led the charge with 3/18, while Caitlin Wyngaard matched her with 3/25 as wickets fell regularly despite Diara Ramlakan’s fighting 41.

In reply, Province made light work of the chase, reaching 100/2 in 23.6 overs. Faye Tunnicliffe anchored the innings with an unbeaten 38, while Tucker capped her all-round display with 20* to seal victory with more than 26 overs to spare.

“It was really hot out there, but we just had to put in the hard work and keep going,” said Tucker after being named Player of the Match.

“We’ve worked really hard as a team and sometimes things didn’t go our way, but today it all came together for us.

“I’m really happy I could contribute with both bat and ball. The team did really well today and it’s great when everything comes together like that.”

Tucker also praised fellow seamer Caitlin Wyngaard for her support.

“I never doubt Caitlin. If there’s someone I want to walk out next to, it’s definitely her.”
