South Africa leveled the Test Series 1-1 with an 8-wicket win against Pakistan, wrapping up the second Test on Day 4.
Pakistan started day 4 with 94-4 and a lead of 23.
South Africa’s aim would have been to take early wickets and strangle the lead.
Babar Azam got to his half-century and was trapped lbw by Simon Harmer. The start they craved.
Harmer then found Rizwan’s edge to short leg, followed by the wicket that brought up his 1000th first-class wicket, which included his 58th five-for.
Pakistan were 105-7. In the first half-hour, 11 runs and three wickets.
Then came a run out, and they were 8 down.
Harmer finished with 6-50. His best in Tests.
Keshav Maharaj took the final two wickets.
Pakistan were all out for 138.
South Africa required 68 to win the match and level the series.
Aiden Markram and Ryan Rickelton took South Africa to 64, but the skipper lost his wicket lbw for 42.
Stubbs then lost his wicket, finding slip for a duck.
South Africa chased down the remaining runs and won by 8-wickets.
