The opening day of this week’s 4-Day Series saw dominant batting performances, spirited fightbacks, and weather interruptions shaping the contests across the country. Here’s how things unfolded:

Goldrush Boland vs Momentum Multiply Titans:

Boland won the toss and elected to bat first.

The hosts had a very dominant day with the bat on what looked like a flat wicket in Paarl.

They ended Day 1 on 367-2 with Grant Roelofsen 150 (230) and Gavin Kaplan 167* (272) being the standout batsmen.

Dayyaan Galiem 1-44 and Tsepo Ndwandwa 1-54 were the wicket takers.

Dafabet Warriors vs World Sports Betting Western Province:

The Warriors won the toss and elected to bat.

Western Province bowled in the first two sessions and were in a very good position at Tea as the Warriors were 162-7.

However, the hosts fought hard in the last session. They finished the day scoring 281 all out, with Sinethemba Qeshile 129 (211) and Wesley Bedja 50 (33) being the standout batters.

Tuskers won the toss and elected to bat

Poor conditions hampered the Dragon’s game against the Tuskers, with only 60 overs being played before bad light stopped play.

The Tuskers ended Day 1 with 207-5 with Michael Erlank 95* (168) and Cameron Shekleton 54 (74) being the standout batsmen.

Ruan De Swardt 1-30, Shimane Mothoa 1-33, Dian Forrester 1-27, Achille Cloete 1-38 and Jade De Klerk 1-26 were the wicket takers.
