Ahead of the latest instalment of the Cricket South Africa (CSA) Women’s T20 Super League taking place at the Six Gun Grill Newlands Stadium in Cape Town between 12 – 16 December, CSA launched the tournament including the official capping ceremony for the SA U19 Women at the Newlands Experience Museum on Sunday.
Captain Oluhle Siyo and the SA U19s will be testing themselves against the best the country has to offer as they join the all-star teams including the Coronations, Starlights and the Thistles in the four-team tournament that forms the premier women’s T20 cricket event in South African domestic cricket.
This competition is set to play a key role in South Africa’s preparations for the hosting of the inaugural ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup and the senior ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in January and February next year.
Due to the ongoing loadshedding taking place in Cape Town and around the country, the daily triple-header fixtures will now get underway from 09h00 (SAST) with the last game starting at 15h50 (SAST).
