The player list for the 2022 Indian Premier League’s mega auction, which will take place on the 12th and 13th of February, has been released.

Ten franchises with a total purse of 90 crores (INR) will aim to pick a total of 25 players. Before the auction took place, teams had the option of retaining up to four players.

South African fast bowler, Anrich Nortje, was retained by the Delhi Capitals for 6.5 crores. Thirty-three South Africans have registered for the auction.

They are:

Quinton de Kock

Of these names, Quinton de Kock, Faf du Plessis, and Kagiso Rabada are expected to be bought by franchises for large sums of money, given their performances in recent editions of the IPL.

Over the last few days, there was speculation surrounding the registration of young U-19 batter, Dewald Brevis, in this year’s auction.

Brevis’ name in this list of players is confirmation of his desire to play in the IPL.
