India took control of session two on day 4 of the 1st Test against South Africa, writes Ongama Gwcwabe.

India continued their second innings on 35-1 at the start of the second session on day four, with Rohit Sharma on 25*(33) and Cheteshwar Pujara 2*(20).

Pujara took the role of attacking the Proteas bowlers as he blasted thirteen fours and one six in the second session. Sharma was more watchful during this session.

South Africa bowlers struggled to control the run-rate as it climbed from 2.5 runs an over to 4 runs an over. Vernon Philander has been the only bowler who kept the Indians quiet, he conceded only one boundary in his spell so far.

Pujara 75*(139) and Sharma 85*(118) will continue in the third and final session of the day.
