It was a low-scoring day 1 as we wrap up the final round of the 4-Day Series.
Titans vs Lions
The Titans were all over the Lions on day one. They bowled the Lions out for 206. Other than Dominic Hendricks losing his wicket heartbreakingly on 99 and Nicky van den Bergh losing his wicket on 44, the rest of the batting line-up crumbled. Lizaad Williams was once again the chief wicket-taker for the sky blues, taking 3/54.
The Titans ended the day’s play on 45/1.
Cobras vs Knights
The Cobras’ bowling attack was led by Nandre Burger (4/64) and Tshepo Moreki (4/54) taking the bulk of the wickets. Raynard van Tonder was the top scorer with 47.
The Cobras got a solid start to their first innings, thanks to Pieter Malan and returning captain Zubayr Hamza.
Malan reached his fifty just before stumps as the Cobras posted 84/1.
Dolphins vs Warriors
The Warriors were skittled for the lowest total of the day, all out for 124. Eathan Bosch was the top wicket taker with 3/18.
The Dolphins’ reply was shaky, they ended the day on 67/2.
