We wrap up day one of the fifth round of 4-Day Franchise series fixtures.
Cobras vs Knights
Shadley van Schalkwyk and Corne Dry struck early to leave the Cobras on 29-2 before a 233-run stand between Janneman Malan and David Bedingham got the Cobras to 266-3 at stumps on day 1.
Malan and Bedingham both brought up centuries to dig their side out of a hole. The former scored 114 runs from 178 balls which included 15 fours. The latter will resume day 2 on 132* with Jason Smith 3*.
Warriors vs Dolphins
Lwandiswa Zuma struck a double blow early to leave Warriors on 29-2 before a 144-run stand for the third wicket guided them to 173-3 when Yaseen Vallie was dismissed for a brilliant 84. Eddie Moore continued the hard work in a 73-run stand with Sinethemba Qeshile (33).
Moore is unbeaten on (152) alongside Kelly Smuts (55) in a 103 run partnership. Warriors are in a dominant position and will resume on 348-5
Lions vs Titans
Right back into the longer format and Wihan Lubbe has notched up a fantastic century well aided by Nicky van den Bergh (63) and Delano Potgieter (36).
Shamsi picked up three wickets whilst Alfred Mothoa and Tshepo Moreki picked up two each to bowl the Lions out for 301.
