We take a look at the top performances in each 4-Day Franchise Series game of the 6th round of fixtures.
Grant Roelofsen’s 142 sets up Dolphins win
The Dolphins claimed a vital win over the Cobras and it was largely due to an outstanding performance from Grant Roelofsen. His 142 off 204 balls was the main factor which saw the Dolphins recover excellently after being bowled out for 174 in their first innings and post 304/8d in their second innings after bowling the Cobras out for 255.
His performance was supported by the Dolphins spinners, with Prenelan Subrayen taking match figures of 5/107 and Senuran Muthusamy taking match figures of 10/128.
This ensured that the Dolphins completed a 137-run win.
A special mention must go to George Linde who despite his side’s defeat recorded match figures of 11/138 – 6/51 in the first innings and 5/87 in the second.
Andile Phehlukwayo, Simon Khomari and Marques Ackerman all recorded half-centuries.
Dominic Hendricks scores massive century
The Lions thumped the Knights by 10 wickets. This was largely due to an incredibly-composed performance from Hendricks who hit 150 off 275 balls. He helped the Lions post a first-innings total of 358.
The Lions’ bowling attack then backed up his performance by skittling the Knights for 158. Beuran Hendricks (4/54) and Eldred Hawken (5/36) were the chief destroyers.
Hendricks was also key to his side’s win by finishing with match figures of 7/121.
Corne Dry also picked up a five-for in the match, while half-centuries from Wihan Lubbe, Pite van Biljon and Wandile Makwetu also highlighted the contest.
