Border posted 128/7 in their 20 overs, but the Dolphins made light work of the chase, reaching 129/3 in just 15.2 overs to complete the victory with 28 deliveries remaining.

The result gave the Dolphins a convincing win as they continued their YesPlay Pro20 Cup campaign, while Border were left searching for answers after failing to defend their total.

Linde Stars as Western Province Cobras Defend 136 Against Mpumalanga

The Western Province Cobras secured a 25-run victory over the Mpumalanga Rhinos at Uplands College in White River on Saturday, with George Linde delivering an outstanding performance with the ball.

Batting first, the Cobras posted 136/7 in their 20 overs. Joshua van Heerden contributed 26 off 30 deliveries, while Mihlali Mpongwana provided some late momentum with a quickfire 23 off 14 balls.

Despite setting a relatively modest target of 137, the Cobras’ bowlers ensured the Rhinos never gained complete control of the chase.

Linde led the bowling attack with impressive figures of 4/18 in 3.2 overs, while Oliver Whitehead and Tshepo Moreki also contributed as the Rhinos were dismissed for 111 in 17.2 overs.

The victory highlighted the Cobras’ ability to defend totals through disciplined bowling, with Linde’s four-wicket haul proving decisive.

South Western Districts Edge North West in Last-Ball Thriller

South Western Districts secured one of the most dramatic victories of the weekend, defeating the North West Dragons by six wickets off the final delivery at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom on Saturday.

After being sent in to bat, North West posted 149/6 in their 20 overs, with captain Wihan Lubbe leading the way with 77 off 57 deliveries. Dian Forrester provided valuable support, scoring 36 off 24 balls as the Dragons set a target of 150.

South Western Districts responded with a determined chase, with Janneman Malan contributing a half-century to keep his side in contention.

The contest went down to the final delivery, with South Western Districts reaching 150/4 in exactly 20 overs to complete a thrilling six-wicket victory.

Despite the defeat, Leo Sadler produced an impressive bowling performance for North West, claiming four wickets.

The result demonstrated South Western Districts’ ability to handle pressure in a tight run chase, securing an important victory away from home.

Neil Brand Powers Boland Past South Africa Emerging

Boland secured a three-wicket victory over South Africa Emerging at LC de Villiers Oval in Pretoria on Sunday, thanks largely to an explosive innings from Neil Brand.

Batting first, South Africa Emerging posted 151/4 in their 20 overs. Vihan Pretorius top-scored with an unbeaten 53 off 43 deliveries, while Divan de Villiers contributed an unbeaten 38 off 28 balls to help set a competitive target.

Boland responded aggressively, with Brand taking charge of the chase through a powerful innings of 76 off just 40 deliveries.

His attacking approach ensured Boland remained ahead of the required run rate, although South Africa Emerging continued to fight back with the ball.

Lleyton Troskie produced an impressive spell of 3/18 in 3.3 overs, keeping the Emerging side in contention despite Brand’s dominance.

However, Boland maintained their attacking approach and reached 155/7 in 16.3 overs, completing the chase with 21 balls remaining.

Brevis and Pretorius Shine as Titans Crush Eastern Storm

The Momentum Multiply Titans produced the most dominant performance of the weekend, defeating Eastern Storm by 99 runs after an extraordinary batting display.

Batting first, the Titans amassed an imposing 260/4 in their 20 overs, with Dewald Brevis producing a sensational innings of 83 off just 26 deliveries, including 11 sixes.

Lhuan-dre Pretorius also played a significant role, scoring 80 off 53 deliveries, while captain Donovan Ferreira added an unbeaten 38 off 16 balls as the Titans piled on the runs.

Faced with a target of 261, Eastern Storm struggled to match the required scoring rate.

Kabelo Sekhukhune top-scored with 41 off 26 deliveries, but Eastern Storm could only manage 161/7 in their 20 overs.

Tabraiz Shamsi claimed 3/21, while Dayyaan Galiem contributed 2/21 as the Titans maintained control of the contest.
