Today’s Player of the Day goes to none other than Kagiso Rabada who was exceptional with the ball taking 5-51 from 15.4 overs with an economy of 3.25 and getting his name on the honour’s board at the Home of Cricket.

During the first session, KG took 2-9 from 6 overs. His first wicket was Usman Khawaja who he knicked off with the ball going into the hands of David Beddingham at first slip. Three balls later he knicked another Aussie off this time it being Cameron Green, which went straight into the hands of Aiden Markram at second slip.

Nothing happened for Rabada in the second session with only 1 wicket being taken after the lunch break. The third session saw him come back into the game by cleaning out the rest of the Australian batting lineup.

He took 3 wickets in the third session, the first one saw him beating the outside edge of Pat Cummins’ bat and crashing into the top of off stump. The second one saw him find the edge again knicking off Webster which went straight to the first slip. This wicket saw him pass Allan Donald on the list of most Test wickets for South Africa (332). His last wicket saw him knock the top of leg stump as Starc tried to drive.

It was a day to remember for Kagiso Rabada, who once again proved why he’s among the very best in the world. His fiery spell not only dismantled Australia’s batting lineup but also etched his name into history—both at Lord’s and in the South African record books.
