The Warriors, Lions and Dragons won in the fourth round of the CSA One Day Cup.
Warriors vs Dolphins: Warriors won by 108 runs
The Warriors were asked to bat first and posted a total of 329-6. Diego Rosier (148 off 126) and Wihan Lubbe (100 off 106) put on a show for the local crowd with an astonishing 208-run partnership for the second wicket.
Kerwin Mungroo took 2 wickets while Eathan Bosch, Ottneil Baartman and Prenelan Subrayen took 1 wicket each.
In reply, the Dolphins were outsmarted by the Warriors’ bowling attack. Tiaan van Vuuren & Tsepo Ndwandwa grabbed three wickets each while Wihan Lubbe took two important wickets. The Dolphins all out for 121 runs after 28.3 overs.
Knights vs Dragons: Dragos won by 3 wickets
Batting first, the Knights posted a competitive 279 runs. Matthew Kleinveldt (40 off 56) and Jacques Snyman (45 off 46) laid a solid 99-run foundation upfront. Half-centuries from Raynard van Tonder (51 off 65) and Pite van Biljon (65 off 62) propelled the home side to a good score.
The ever-reliable Senuran Muthusamy produced bowling figures of 1-47 in his 10 over spell, while Nono Pongolo finished pick of the bowlers with figures of 3-52 in 9 overs.
In reply, half-centuries from Lesego Senokwane, Shaylin Pillay, Delano Potgieter and a 41 from Wesley Marshall ensured a victory for the Dragons.
They scored 281/7 (50 overs).
Rocks vs Lions: Lions won by 6 wickets
Having won the toss in Paarl, the Lions opted to have a bowl first. Sisanda Magala was rampant with the new ball and came back and did the job at the death. Magala finished with figures of 6-46 in 10 overs, while Malusi Siboto grabbed 4-32 in 8 overs.
Pieter Malan (104 off 125) and Ruan Terblanche (51 of 80) fought hard for a defendable 224 runs.
In reply, the Lions chased down the score with 6 wickets in hand. Joshua Richards and Reeza Hendricks’ half-centuries were key to the chase, with a couple of cameos around them.
