Khalid Mohidin chats to David Miller about some of his cricket heroes growing up, the Mzansi Super League and some of his favourite hobbies.
David Miller was hitting the ball cleanly in the nets at Newlands, ahead of their clash against the Cape Town Blitz during the Mzansi Super League 2.0.
His interaction with Gary Kirsten was entertaining as well as informative to witness. It was impressive to see how hands-on Kirsten was with his star player as well as to see how Miller never hesitated from asking his coach questions on how he could improve certain aspects of his game.
I stood there watching him and analyzing the way he trains. What stood out to me the most was his work ethic.
Despite being a Protea, Miller stayed till the end, in fact, he was the last person to leave the nets. And although he put a hard session in, he still stopped to chat to me.
After an intense net session, he Miller joined me for his interview.
I decided to refrain from asking him about the Proteas and instead tried to get to know him a little better.
