The Titans have named a star-studded squad for the CSA T20 Challenge which kicks off on Friday 8 March.

Proteas players Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen and Tabraiz Shamsi have been named in the squad and will bolster the Titans’ chances as they aim to defend their CSA T20 Challenge title.

U19 World Cup stars Steve Stolk and Lhuan-dre Pretorius have also been included.

Talking to the Titans website head coach Mandla Mashimbyi said:

“Selection headaches because of the amount of talent that’s available are a nice problem to have. What’s important to us though, is that good performances are put in during games to give the team the best opportunity to get the result.”

“Steve [Stolk] and Lhuan-dre [Pretorius] are the talk of the town at the moment after their performances at the U19 World Cup and their involvement with us in the T20 Challenge will definitely assist their development.

“It’s important for us to realise that it’s a new competition with new challenges and put the achievements of the past behind us. It’s also worth noting that the majority of the players that are available have been around the Titans for some time now, they know the changeroom and are Sky Blues through and through.”
