Dane Piedt finished with match figures of 11-107 as South Africa A finished off the West Indies before lunch on Day 4 of the 2nd Test with a 232-run win to level the series 1-1.

It was a dominant display by SA A in East London with some powerful performances from particularly the senior guys in the team.

The first innings from SA was highlighted by a collective batting display to get them to 298. Half-centuries from Raynard Van Tonder (50) and Keegan Petersen (67), were backed up by good starts from Tony de Zorzi (44), Khaya Zondo (35) and Ruan de Swart (42) who gave the Proteas A team a good foundation in the match after being put into bat by the visitors.

What followed with the ball, was a true masterclass from particular one bowler, Dane Piedt.

The Windies got a good start to their innings to take them to 104-2, but the introduction of the spinner turned the game on its head. Piedt finished with 5-28 in his 12.2 overs and he was supported by Tshepo Moreki (3-66) and Dane Paterson (2-28) as the visitors were all out for 154.

Having avoided the follow-on, South Africa A went in to bat again and piled on the runs to bat the visitors out of the game. Van Tonder (56) and Zondo (49) batted brilliantly around Petersen who finally managed to convert a half-century into a magnificent century.

Peterson scored 112 off 134 balls which included 10 fours and 5 sixes, setting a target of 442 for the West Indies heading into the final stage of the game.

Although the Windies fought hard to try and win the series, they were stopped in their tracks by another brilliant display from Piedt who 6-79 to take out the visitors for 209.

The victory was sealed and the series leveled at 1-1 with one more game to go.
