Australian cricket legend Shane Warne has died, aged 52.

The news was broken by Warne’s management who released a statement on Friday (Saturday AEDT), that the spin legend passed away in Koh Samui, Thailand. The cause, a suspected heart attack.

“Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived,” the statement reads.

“The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course.”

Warne took 708 Test wickets in his career, making him the second-highest wicket-taker of all time. South Africa was one of the opponents he hassled the most, taking 130 wickets – second after the 195 wickets he has taken against England.
