The Sunrisers Eastern Cape bounced back with a 58-run win against Durban Super Giants at Kingsmead after losing their first three games in Season 3 of Betway SA20.

In Season 1 of the SA20, Sunrisers showed their comeback ability after losing their first two games and then winning the tournament.

In Season 2, their first game was rained out, and they lost their second, but they bounced back to win the tournament.

This time around the task is a little harder if they want to defend their title and complete 3 trophy wins in a row. Sunrisers lost their first three games. But they will hope that their victory against DSG will keep their hopes of defending their title alive.

After the win, they remain at the bottom of the log and will need this result to activate a near-perfect run to reach the playoffs.

SEC batted first and managed to put 165-5. It was their international stars that stood out on the day, with Tom Abell (57 off 39 balls) and Zak Crawley (38 off 29 balls) posting top scores.

Marco Jansen played an important knock to take their team to a defendable total, he scored 36 off 26 balls (3 fours, 1 six).

Noor Ahmed was the main bowler for DSG taking 4-25.

DSG were bowled out for 107. Ottniel Baarman was the top South African bowler taking 2-17 in 2.1 overs.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape won by 58 runs.
