South Africa A ended day three with a lead of 40 runs and one wicket in hand against India A in the first unofficial Test.
There was a delayed start to day three due to a wet outfield. SA A resumed on 125-5 leading by 14 runs with Heinrich Klaasen 35* (55) and Wiaan Mulder 12* (18) still at the crease.
Klaasen and Mulder knew they had a tough task ahead of them and were by all means up for it. The two kept the scoreboard ticking registering their 50-run stand.
Mulder was run out for 46 and then the collapse continued. Dane Piedt (1) and Marco Jansen (0) did no damage to the scorecard before Jalaj Saxena and Nadeem got them out respectively.
Saxena then got the big wicket of Klaasen for 48.
Lutho Sipamla 5* and Lungi Ngidi 0* will resume day four with SA A on 179/9 and a lead of 40 runs.
Bad light brought an end to the days play with only 20 overs possible.
