The South Africa ‘A’ squad was announced to take on India ‘A’ and the question remains whether the platform should be solely used to promote young talent.
After Cricket South Africa announced the squad for the South Africa ‘A’ team, which is set to play India ‘A’ next month, Khalid, Aditya, and Werner offered insight into the composition of the team.
They agreed that the SA ‘A’ platform should be used to expose young cricketers to top-flight cricket, and it was imperative for selectors to ensure the next generation of players get as much game time as possible.
Apart from a couple of selections that generated debate among the panel, Khalid, Aditya, and Werner were generally in agreement on the makeup of the squad.
