Former South African fast bowler, Monde Zondeki, shared his insights after the Proteas’ defeat in the final T20I at Six Gun Grill Newlands which saw them lose the series 3-0.

A defeat always leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. As fans, we want to see our team win. Not demolished like the Proteas were against England during this 3-match series.

It’s easy to be critical of the Proteas’ performance. It’s another thing to try and look positively forward at what needs to change in order for the Proteas to become a force within World Cricket once again when you see your side miserably trailing a formidable side like England.

After a humiliating defeat in the final T20I at Six Gun Grill Newlands, the panel discussed what went wrong and what changes they would like to see in the Proteas squad.

Special guest Monde Zondeki was particularly critical of Quinton de Kock’s captaincy and Temba Bavuma’s batting ability in T20 cricket.
